Supported by grants from the City of Oakland and California College of Art, we were able to produce a free, month-long festival of DIY water conservation techniques including graywater plumbing, rainwater storage, drought tolerant planting, composting toilets, aquaponics and more. 18 hands-on exhibits spread over a large urban yard. Also offered: organic food, live music, a Kid's Splash Zone and guest lectures by Betsy Damon, Michael Stocker, Wes Marrin.
